Who We Tattoo

Minimum Age

Bob's Tattoo Joint tattoos clients who meet the age and consent requirements in effect at our Denver location. Our default policy is that you must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo, with valid government-issued photo ID. If we offer exceptions under Colorado law (for example, documented parental consent for certain minors), those will be explained and confirmed in person before any work begins.

No Exceptions on ID

We do not tattoo anyone who cannot prove their age and identity to our satisfaction. If you are scheduling for someone else, make sure they will be present with the required documentation.

02

Identification

Accepted ID

Bring a current government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID). Expired IDs may not be accepted. Digital-only copies are not a substitute for the physical document unless we have agreed otherwise in advance.

Name Matching

The name on your ID should match the name used for booking. If you have recently changed your name, bring supporting documentation so we can verify identity without delaying your session.

03

Guardians & Minors

Parent or Legal Guardian

Where Colorado law allows tattooing of a minor with proper consent, the parent or legal guardian listed on the minor's documentation must be present for the entire appointment and must sign our studio consent forms. We do not accept remote or third-party permission.

Shop Discretion

Even when the law permits a procedure, we reserve the right to decline any appointment that does not meet our internal standards for safety, documentation, or design suitability.

04

Alcohol & Judgment

Sober Appointments Only

You must not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances when you arrive. We will reschedule or refuse service if you appear impaired — for your safety and ours.
